Chad Parenteau: Poet for Hire

The Poet for Hire Has Online Tearsheets

Below are some examples of people showing an interest in my work.

Interviews

On March 31, 2009 , I was filmed for the first episode of The Steve Katsos Show.  It was memorable for many, but not for my repartee or oratory skills.  Read this recent Arlington Advocate article for info on my friend's successful public access show and the sneeze heard around the world...of public access.

Performance poet and Emerson College student Adam Goldberg interviewed me late last year for a school project that involved creating a website decicated to Boston's spoken word scene.   The email-based interview he posted is here.  Because I was and am neurotic, I posted a corrected, better written version, and you can still read it here.

Poet, musician and memoirist Lo Galluccio interviewed me in The Alewife, which also printed my poetry, including my "Sarcastic Haiku."  The editor called my work "loathsome" and even called me "terror laureate" on his supposedly professional blog.  Thanks to this website, we can finally skip the middle man.  Click here to read it.

Doug Holder of Ibbetson Street Press interviewed me for his "Poet to Poet/Writer to Writer" series.  Years later, I had the video put on to YouTube.  Watch it here, and marvel at me trying to sound intelligent in my first televised interview ever.

Performance Reviews

The few and far between moments when someone writes about one of my performances.

I think Doug Holder wrote this review of my 2005 reading with Janet Cormier at the old Toast Series in Somerville.  A couple of inaccuracies, but I was flattered.
